PURPOSE:To obtain the resin molded product, glittering due to the reflection of metallic powder, by a method wherein the outer peripheral layer of the molded product is filled with combined pellets and the metallic powder is mixed with said pellets in the resin molded product. CONSTITUTION:Predetermined amount of material pellets is charged into a drier to dry them to a temperature, which is immediately before the plasticizing temperature thereof, and said pellets 2 are mixed with the predetermined metallic powder 4. A predetermined mold is preheated and the dried pellets 2 are mixed with the metallic powder 4 to load them into the mold. The mold is pressed to a predetermined pressure and is cooled. The outer peripheral section 1 is fused and, thereafter, is solidified by cooling whereby the thick layer 3 is produced. The pellets in the outer layer are not fused, therefore, the pellets remain the original configuration thereof being mixed with the metallic powder 4 but respective pellets 2 are combined and adhered with each other. The resin molded product glitters beautifully due to the reflection of the metallic powder, therefor, it may be useful for the lamp cover, illuminating instruments or the like of motorcar. |
