The subject of the present invention is a die for the manufacture of granulates from an extruded material. According to the invention, the bottom of the baseplate 11 of the die 10, mounted on the end of the cooker-extruder, includes, between the central outlet orifice 6 for the material of the said cooker- extruder and the radial orifices 16 forming streams of extruded material, hollow zones 13-15 for uniform distribution of the material into relatively thin layers in order to maintain, in the region of each radial orifice 16, the said material at a constant flowrate and at a pressure greater than a given value. The invention is applicable to the manufacture of granulates from an extruded foodstuff material. <IMAGE>
