PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of characteristics by laminating a nonmagnetic material layer and an adhesive layer to constitute a nonmagnetic material substrate and providing the nonmagnetic material layer on the surface where an R/W magnetic gap and an erasing magnetic gap are exposed. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic material substrate 40 consists of an R/W magnetic gap 25, an erasing magnetic gap 31, a nonmagnetic material layer consisting of Al2O3 ceramics which is provided in an upper part corresponding to the magnetic gap 31 and in a lower part corresponding to the third core blocks 24 and 30, and an adhesive layer 42 consisting of a low-melting point glass corresponding to an intermediate layer between them. In case of formation of this nonmagnetic material substrate 40, an Al2O3 substrate 43 is formed to a transversely long U shape, and a low-melting point glass 42' shown by oblique broken lines in the figure is molded in a narrow and long notched window part 44 of this substrate 44 to form the nonmagnetic material layer 41, the adhesive layer 42, and the nonmagnetic material layer 41 in the vertical direction in the figure by lamination. |
