PURPOSE:To attain accurate recording and reading of data by heating and pressing a card while applying a vertical DC magnetic field and arranging the magnetizing direction over the entire medium in an excellent way when the card including the optomagnetic recording medium is stuck with other card component. CONSTITUTION:A card base 43 and other card component, as required, are overlapped to a base 42 provided with an optomagnetic medium (shown in black thick lines), they are clipped by mirror face plates 7, 7 and cushions 6, 6 in the manufacture of an ID card 44, they are heated and pressed while applying a vertical magnetic field to the face of the card 44 by plural electromagnets 5 comprising an iron core 3 and a coil 4 to arrange uniformly the magnetizing direction of the optomagnetic recording medium on the base 42 over the entire region. A permanent magnet is used in place of the electromagnet 5. The card is manufactured without distortion in the magnetizing direction and deformation of the card 44 after manufacture in this way. |
