The invention relates to frameless goggles and their method of manufacture. The goggles comprise an elongate structure 10 of lenses which consists of two transparent lenses which are substantially parallel and held apart by a spacer which extends around their perimeter and which defines a viewing area 26. An elastic and soft damping material 14 enables the goggles to closely fit the face of a wearer. Field of application: goggles for skiers, motor cyclists, etc. <IMAGE>
