PURPOSE:To prevent a characteristics due to water depth by simultaneously detecting and keeping the balance of outside and inside air pressure of the box into which high air pressure is enclosed using a sensor placed at the middle of a pipe by which the inside of the box is connected with the outside water. CONSTITUTION:An underwater sound wave transmitter is composed of a vibration plate 1, a pump 2, a voice coil 3, a center pole 4, a permanent magnet 5 and a yoke 6 which are placed at the inside of the box 8. It conveys sound waves through oil 11 and acoustic rubber 10 in the water. The inside pressure of the box which varies according to the water depth is adjusted by injecting gas or air through adjuster 15. The pressure sensor 16 simultaneously detects the inside pressure of the box 8 and outside water pressure through a pipe 17. It also detects the balance of pressures according to the pressure difference, and at the same time calculates the water depth. As a result, the inside pressure of the box is adjusted to be suitable to the water depth, and improve the reliability of underwater transmitter. |
