PURPOSE:To compensate a dropout with simple configuration by detecting the occurrence of the dropout in the reproduction video signals and outputting a signal from a dropout compensation circuit by the detection output. CONSTITUTION:When the dropout occurs to chrominance signals and luminance signals which are inputted respectively to input terminal 1 and 2, it is detected by a detection circuit 3. This detection output is inputted to a switch 4 and chrominance signal correction circuit 15, and the switch 4 is switched to the (b) side after the luminance signal is inputted to a clamp circuit and a sink chip level is kept at a specific value. Then, a reproduction video signal is supplied from an adding circuit 7 to the color signal correction circuit 15, and the chrominance signal and luminance signal are fetched up from a BPF9 and LPF10 respectively. These chrominance signal and luminance signal are delayed for a specified time at delay circuits 11, 12, and then synthesized at an adding circuit 8 and supplied as a dropout compensation signal to the clamp circuit 6 through the switch 4. |
