Control device for operating a plurality of elements, such as burner, mixer, circulating pump, heat pump and service water processor, assigned to a heating system. The said elements are driven by a digital central computer via lines, plug-in modules being assigned to the elements and each plug-module (10, 11, 12) being assigned an identification (17, 18) with a defined voltage value and all the plug-in modules being connected via separate lines (7, 8, 9) to an analog multiplexer (6) which itself is connected via an analog/digital converter (4) to the computer (2). <IMAGE>
