PURPOSE:To attain the display of a reprojected image with improvement of the stereoscopic feeling by providing a means which indicates a focal surface in the depth direction of a viewing line for the volume element data and a smoothing filter. CONSTITUTION:An indicating means 3 designates the position of a focal surface of a smoothing filter 2 to decide the filtering intensity of the filter 2. Then the filter 2 reads the data on a volume element Voxel out of the 1st three- dimentional memory 1 to perform the smoothing filter processing with use of a mask size which is increased as the distance increases from the focal surface. Thus the data on the Voxel is stored in the 2nd three-dimentional memory 4 and then added toward a viewing line by an addition means 5 to be displayed in the form of a reprojected picture having the stereoscopic feeling via a display means 6. Thus a reprojected image can be displayed with improvement of the stereoscopic feeling with addition of the means 3. |
