发明名称 ENCLOSED-TYPE METAL OXIDE/HYDROGEN STORAGE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To fabricate an aimed enclosed-type battery without creating hydrogen gas atmosphere in any of its assembly process by forming a negative electrode with two kinds of hydrogen occlusion alloys having different balancing hydrogen pressure. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode is formed principally with a hydrogen occlusion alloy A whose balancing hydrogen pressure at 20 deg.C is over 0.05atm and not more than 1atm and subordinately with another hydrogen occlusion alloy B with balancing hydrogen pressure of not more than 0.05atm, which has already occluded hydrogen. In a state in which there is no hydrogen pressure around, the hydrogen occlusion alloy A releases occluded hydrogen quite soon, but the hydrogen occlusion alloy B, with its hydrogen releasing speed being slow once hydrogen is occluded, hardly releases it in the course of the negative electrode manufacture and whole battery assembly. When the battery assembly work is completed, therefore, the negative electrode is invariable maintained in the state of being more electro-charged than the positive electrode, and the battery is in a proper condition of capacity.
