PURPOSE:To ensure good electrical contact with a support member by forming a carbide layer of uniform thickness to the limites surface of reactive cathode, except for the region near the support member. CONSTITUTION:A carbide jig 20 is mainly composed of shield plates 211, 212 at the both ends, holders 221, 222 positioned by a center color and spacers 251, 252 within the shield plates 211, 212 and a graphite color 27 which is provided so that it passes a plurality of holes 221a, 222a bored to the holder plates 221, 222 and surrounds the limited surface of coil 31 engaged by the shields 211, 212 at both ends. Parts except for the graphite color 27 is made of molybdenum. The carbide jig 20 loading a tritan coil 31 is heated within hydrogen gar flow. As a result, a carbide layer of uniform thickness is formed at the center and an organ having no carbide layer is formed at the region near both ends. |
