ELECTRONIC SETTLEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To attain 24hr operation of an electronic decision system by applying tentative settlement processing while taking a predetermined designation amount as a limit even at off-line. CONSTITUTION:A customer's ordinary deposition account file consists of a normal area 131 and a special area 132 and the special area 132 is accessed either by on-line or off-line. In addition to a data required for normal on-line transaction on an IC bank card 26 used by the user, a monetary amount of te special area 132 transferred from the normal deposition account file is stored into an area M5 as a designated monetary amount and a residual of the designated monetary amount is stored in an area M7. Since the normal deposition account file is accessed even at off-line at night when the normal bank job finished, the customer can utilize the bank over 24hr.
