In order to ensure that the receptacles, e.g. bowls, are substantially removed from outside influences on the path from their point of storage to their filling station and/or that they can even be treated on this path, according to the invention a pipe which has an inside space which corresponds to the outlines of the bowls or the like is provided with a gaseous medium, especially air, for conveying of the bowls or the like. In the said pipe, the bowls can be disinfected, sterilised or treated in similar fashion while they are being conveyed.
