PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna where impedance matching is attained in a wide band, by attaching a matching element consisting of a microstrip line, whose ends are short-circuited, between an earth conductor plate and an internal conductor. CONSTITUTION:A microstrip line 6 has one end short-circuited to an internal conductor 4 at a point A and has the other end short-circuited to an earth conductor at a point B through a substrate 5, and the earth conductor 7 and an earth conductor plate 2 are press-fitted and are connected electrically. The microstrip line 6 and the internal conductor 4 are connected by soldering or the like in the position of a hole 8 piercing the internal conductor 4 of a coaxial plug seat 3. When the characteristic impedance, the phase constant, and the length of the microstrip line 6 are denoted as Z0, beta, and (l) respectively, the input reactance of a matching element 10 is jZ0tanbetal. Since the matching element 10 is connected electrically between the earth conductor plate 2 and the internal conductor 4, it is operated as what is called a parallel resonance circuit. Thus, impedance matching is attained effectively. |
