The watch housing consists of a housing shell (6) and of a glass bezel (1) in the form of a simple punched part made from a resilient plate which is bent over at the edge regions extending perpendicular to the strap attachment sides accompanied by the formation of side walls (1a, 1b), and which overlaps the housing shell (6) at the strap attachment sides and is provided with openings for the webs for fastening the strap. Said glass bezel (1) is pushed onto the housing shell (6) accompanied by the elastic spreading of its two side walls (1a, 1b), the lower edges (1c) of the side walls (1a, 1b) in each case undercutting a shoulder (14) which is integrally formed on the outer surfaces of the housing shell (6), and the edge of the glass bezel (1) which bounds the glass opening pressing the edge (18a) of the watch glass (18) axially downwards and in the process axially compressing a seal (17) which is arranged between the glass edge (18a) and the upper edge of the housing shell (6). This firm seating of the glass bezel (1) on the housing shell (6), which is produced by the elastic recovery force, yields a completely sealed housing which is simple to produce and assemble. <IMAGE>
