PURPOSE:To acquire a cell whose formed positive electrode can be controlled from contraction and expansion in a sudden temperature change, and, especially, whose discharge voltage does not drop suddenly even through used repeatedly for a long period of time in a low or high temperature, by applying a high quality graphite whose particles have a specific diameter and also whose solid carbon content and graphitized degree are more than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:As one of the components of a carbonaceous formed positive electrode 4, is applied graphite which has 99wt% or more of solid carbon content containing 75wt% or more of particles with 3-30mum in diameter, and whose length of 002 face in X-ray diffraction method is 950Angstrom or more. As a result, an excellent mechanical strength of positive electrode is obtained, which enables to control contraction and expansion of a formed positive electrode a sudden temperature change, and also impurity within the positive electrode is reduced controlling its reaction with oxyhaloid, resulting in a waterless electrolyte cell of a high discharge quality in which no discharge voltage drop occurs even through it is used for long in a severe condition. |
