PURPOSE:To enable paper sheets to be fed smoothly without requiring rotation of any pressing member, duly miniaturizing the captioned paper feeder in a compact size, by employing those components such as rollers rotating a document feed direction, members fixed to a rotary shaft thereof at certain relation positions and pressing members for pressing the document between both members. CONSTITUTION:Feed out rollers 2 are driven in rotation due to the effect of axial driving power so as to transport a document held between itself and pressing rollers 1. Then, the document is forced to move, by the power of the pressing members 1 and the feel out rollers 2, in a direction which is regulated by document guides 4, 5. One guide 4 is provided with apertures 6a cut therein through which the pressing members 1 are allowed to pass and the other guide 5 is provided with apertures 6b cut therein through which the feed out rollers 2 are allowed to pass. In addition, each aperture 6 of the guide 4 is accompanied, along its outer edge, by a rectangular projection 8 engaging with the shaft 3 of the pressing members 1. The pressing member 1 is a cylindrical body with a half-moon shaped cross-section and its curved surface touches the document so as to get the document transported by means of frictional force generated between the curved surface and the document. Accordingly, the whole of this device can be miniaturized in a compact size. |
