In an automatically working readjusting device for a dual power brake (Figure 6), a readjusting lever (30) provided with a slot (31) is pivotably mounted about a pin (29) on a holder (28) bent in a Z-shaped manner, there engaging into the slit-shaped slot (31) a stud or peg (41) connected firmly to a sleeve (26) which is itself arranged fixedly in terms of rotation on the brake-jaw web (36) of one brake jaw (33) and in which the readjusting nut (23) provided with an external toothing (24) is held rotatably. The free end of the readjusting lever (30) engages by means of a tooth (38) into the toothing of the readjusting nut (23) and rotates the latter in the readjusting direction when, in the event of an actuation of the brake, the readjusting nut (23), sleeve (26) and readjusting screw (25) connected to the other brake jaw (34) are moved in the direction of the arrow D. The slot (31) is designed as a slit which is arranged at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve (26), so that the rectilinear movement of the peg (41) causes a pivoting movement of the readjusting lever (30) in the direction of the arrow E. <IMAGE>
