In a pneumatic tyre for vehicles which has a toroidal body, beads formed thereon, a divided bead ring in each bead and a cord inlay whose ends are guided through one of the divided bead rings in each case, each bead ring has profile rings which engage one in the other in a positive fashion and between which the respective end of the cord inlay is held in a positive fashion and therefore does not need to be folded back.
