Process for transferring heat energy between a liquid solvent and a soluble solid material, that is to say generally and in a known manner preground, defibred or cut up, the process being intended more particularly for the extraction of sugars, starches or other active components of plants, characterised in that this solid matter is made to travel continuously while being simultaneously stirred, and that it is subjected to a continuous spraying with fractions of increasingly enriched liquid solvent originating from the continuous draining of the solid material, this liquid solvent and the solid material travelling countercurrentwise to each other in a strict and predetermined manner so as to produce a renewed contact between the liquid solvent and the solid matter, which at the same time promotes heat exchange by conduction and the extraction of the soluble components. |
