PURPOSE:To prevent a toner image already formed in preceding image forming steps of the second color or the following steps from disturbance and to obtain a good color image by simultaneously carrying out both of electrostatic charging and exposure on a latent image bearing body to form an electrostatic latent image. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photosensitive body 1 is exposed to a light 6 reflected from an original through a blue filter 7 and a corona charger 3, and the formed electrostatic latent image is developed with a toner of yellow complementary to blue, then, successively exposed and developed likewise by using green and red filters 8, 9, respectively, and developing devices 12, 13, and the full color image formed on the photosensitive body 1 is transferred in one time onto a paper 15 with a transfer charger 14. The simultaneous charging and exposure operations permit high electric fields between the toner attached parts and the toner nonattached parts of the toner image formed at the preceding step of the second or the following step to be prevented and disturbance and deformation of the toner image to be suppressed, and thus, a good color image to be formed. |
