PURPOSE:To make it possible to start an engine with no use of a choke system, by decreasing the supply amount of fuel when the rotational speed of the engine upon cranking is low, and by determining the supply amount of fuel in accordance with the temperature of cooling water. CONSTITUTION:When a control means 5 controls a fuel injection means 6 for supplying starting fuel or accelerating fuel into a carburettor 1, at first the rotational speed of an engine obtained by the output of a rotational speed sensor 31 is compared with a discriminating rotational speed stored in a memory 13 to determine the present condition of the engine which is either one of prestarting, on-cranking and completion of high order detonation. A supply pattern of fuel to be fed into the carburettor 1, which is stored in the memory 13 for every engine condition, is used to compute an appropriate fuel discharge amount in accordance with the output of a cooling water temperature sensor 30. In this stage, the supply pattern for the time when the engine is determined to be on cranking is set such that in case the rotational speed of the engine upon cranking is low, the discharge amount of fuel is made less than the case that it is high. |
