<p>A ball valve in which the ball (2) of the valve is positively prevented from blowing out of the valve body in both directions, even if the valve is connected in the wrong direction or the fluid pressure is applied to the valve in the opposite direction. The ball (2) is arranged in a valve body (1) to selectively open and close a fluid passage in the body (31, 41), and annular seals (34, 43) abut against the ball (2) from both sides of the fluid passage (31, 41), the annular seals (34, 43) being pushed towards the ball (2) by seal carriers (3, 4). One (3) of the seal carriers has a flange (32) on the periphery of one end thereof, and the flange (32) is locked to a step (12) from inside which is formed on inner surface of one end portion of the valve body (1). In a second embodiment, the ball (2) additionally has two grooves with abutting walls in respective ones of which the spindle and a pin coaxial with the spindle are fitted with the abutting walls positioned on the side of the one seal carrier (3).</p> |
