PURPOSE:To improve operating efficiency by setting the value of a number of sheets according to the operation of an input key. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with a nonvolatile memory 34 for storing the value of the prescribed number of sheets, a control means 30 for setting the storage content of the memory 34 and an input means 35 in order to utter a signal when the value of the prescribed number of sheets is attained. The means 30 stores successively the numerical values in descending order into the memory 34 when a copy start button is started after a set mode is established by two numeric keys and power source switch and after the numerical values are inputted by the numeric keys while the input means 35 are under prescribed input conditions. The number of sheets of a counter is thus easily set.
