<p>PURPOSE:To remove Cd in an aq. soln. efficiently by the addn. of sulfite of alkali metals, in subjecting the Cd in an aq. soln. to cementation by use of metallic powder mainly composed of Zn. CONSTITUTION:During the dissolution of sulfite of alkali metals such as Na2SO3, K2SO3, etc., in the aq. soln. in which Cd is dissolved, the metallic powder mainly composed of Zn is simultaneously added to the solution to execute cementation to remove Cd by precipitation. The quantity of Zn in the metallic powder regulated to >=1.2 equiv. based on Cd, though 1equiv. is theoretical. The quantity of sulfite of alkali metals is regulated to >=5equiv. based on the dissolved oxygen in the aq. soln., although 1equiv. is theoretical.</p> |
