Thermostat for regulating operative temperature comprising temperature sensing element for the air space (1) that controls a radiant heater (3). The purpose of this invention is to produce a thermostat that can regulate heating devices based on the operative temperature of the locale. This is achieved by a compensation heater core (5) being placed near and situated to affect the temperature sensing element (1) and a thermistor (6) being exposed to radiant heat from the surroundings in order to control heat development in the compensation heater core (5) so that it increases when the radiant heat from the surroundings increases.<IMAGE> |
