PURPOSE:To improve close contact between a thin tube and fins in the long axis direction of the tube by the spring effect of corrugated pressed section on the fin by a method wherein corrugate press work is applied on the surface of the fin in the long axis of the non-circular section of the tube. CONSTITUTION:The corrugated pressed section 5 having predetermined widths are provided on the fin 4 at the outside of a non-circular hole in the long axis thereof. A force, pushing a fin collar 6 inwardly (into the direction of the tube), is exerted in the long axis of the non-circular hole by the spring effect of the pressed sections 5. In the fin tube heat exchanger, consisting of a multitude of laminated fins of thin plate of aluminum or the like, and a multitude or non-circular thin tubes of copper or the like inserted into the non-circular holes of the fins in accordance with a predetermined arrangement, the force, pushing the fin collar 6 inwardly into the direction of long axis of the hole, is acting, therefore, deterioration of closely contacting property at the contacting section on the long axis between the fin collar 6 and the thin tube 2 may be prevented. |
