PURPOSE:To prevent toxication by stopping supply of water and combustion of burner automatically even in case the gas water heater is left in condition of combustion and hot-water delivering by a method wherein an electromagnetic body, releasing a hooking piece for opening and holding the water supply valve of water supply valve opening and closing device when a preset time has elapsed, is provided in the device. CONSTITUTION:When a push button 3 is pushed to advance a push rod 4 by a constant stroke by a stroke control groove 12 upon igniting the heater, an operating lever 17 and a water valve operating lever 16 are pivoted to attract the tip end 28 of a plunger 2 by the electromagnet through a pushing piece 25 and, simultaneously, the valve of gas valve device E is opened and held by the operating lever 17 to ignite a pilot flame. When the pushing of the push button is released, a diaphragm valve 33 is released and a main burner is ignited. A solenoid coil is conducted by a timer T under limiting the time of conduction and when the preset time has elapsed, the conduction of the solenoid coil 27 is intercepted and the hooking piece 1 stops the supply of water through the valve 33. |
