PURPOSE:To prevent oil from entering into a cylinder, by separating oil contained in working gas circulating between a reaction chamber for a power piston and a crank casing, in a Stirling engine, with the use of a gas-oil separating filter, and by pumping out oil with the use of an oil feed pump. CONSTITUTION:In a Stirling engine, a heater pipe 2 and a cooler pipe 4 which are connected through a regenerator 3 are continuously heated and cooled, respectively, and therefore, a gas feed piston 5 and a power piston 7 are reciprocated with a phase difference therebetween which is regulated by a crank shaft 19. In this arrangement, a gas-oil separating filter 100 is disposed in a communication pipe 12 communicating the inside of the crank casing 9 with the power piston reaction chamber 10. Further, the oil reserving section 100b of the filter 100 and the suction port of an oil feed pump 23, and the bottom section of the crank casing 9 and the suction port of the oil feed pump 23 are connected together through pipes 28, 26 incorporating valves 26, 27, respectively, so that oil in the oil reserving section 100b and the bottom of the crank casing 9 is pumped out with suitable timing. |
