PURPOSE:To increase the concentricity of a spline part with the internal diameter of a prepared hole in a work and improve its accuracy, by providing a guide surface to be extended for the front of a cutting edge part from a spline tooth root and forming a front part of the guide surface to be curved to the inside. CONSTITUTION:A guide surface 26 is provided extending for the front of a cutting edge part 24 from a spline tooth root 27, and the guide surface 26 forms its front part 25 to be curved to the inside. Accordingly, a prepared hole in a work, even if its diameter is equally designed, is prevented from being cut by a spline tooth excepting the cutting edge part 24. In addition, good concentricity of a spline part with an internal diameter of the prepared hole in the work is obtained because the guide surface 26 is brought into slide contact with the prepared hole. |
