Prefabricated road marking strip laying - by initially forming composite support and strip layer which is applied under pressure

The process is for laying road-marking prefabricated strip-shaped material, on an under-layer serving as base for sealing and levelling the road surface, and for embedding and fixing the material in place. A layer (M) is first formed, comprising the strip marking material (26) together with a layer (22) made up of the support layer. The whole combination is then laid on site, under pressure. Laying may follow application of a relatively thin layer (16) of fluid compound to form a connecting layer. Heat may be applied to the road surface before the compound strip is laid under pressure.
