PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for preliminary treatments such as deaeration and sealing and permitting the easy application to an HIP treatment by forming a glass capsule into multi-layered structure consisting of >=3 kinds of layers having different grain sizes, softening points, etc. CONSTITUTION:The capsule for the HIP treatment is made of >=3 layers of the multi-layered structure such as the 1st layer 2 consisting high-purity ceramics such as coarse-grained high softening point glass, the 2nd layer 3 consisting of ceramics such as fine-grained high softening point glass and the 3rd layer 4 for a pressure medium consisting of fine-grained low softening point glass. The penetration of the layer 4 which makes free plastic deformation into the part of the layer 2 during the HIP treatment is prevented by the presence of the layer 3. An isotropic pressure is exerted via the 1st and 2nd layers to the material 1 to be treated. The glass capsule of each layer is used without preliminary calcination and vacuum deaeration. |
