PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of a developer by providing independently the 1st and 2nd developer storage parts to a developer storage vessel, stripping the sealant in the aperture of one thereof and charging the developer into a developer supply vessel then stripping automatically the other sealant after the prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:This developing device is provided with the developer storage vessel 35 having independently the 1st developer storage part 36 and the 2nd developer storage part 37 as well as the 1st sealing member 41 and the 2nd sealing member 42 covering the apertures 39, 40 of both storage parts 36, 37. The member 41 is stripped and after the 1st developer, for example, magnetic particles 27 are charged into the developer supply vessel 21, the member 42 is automatically stripped upon lapse of the prescribed time. The 2nd developer, i.e., a toner is supplied after the 1st developer, i.e., the magnetic particles 27 are surely and thoroughly stuck onto a sleeve 22 by the above- mentioned constitution and therefore there is no scattering of the toner and the inside of the device is not stained. Such a developer supply vessel is supplied to users in the form of a cartridge, by which the charge of the developer into the vessel 21 is made possible without troublesome operation and without clogging of the magnetic particles and toner. |
