PURPOSE:To provide an equal value, high quality half tone by transferring color ink to recording paper and then transferring clear or pale heat-melting ink on a transferred image of recording paper on which the transfer is made in color ink. CONSTITUTION:A solution of polyester resin being dissolved in toluene is applied on a substrate 11 and dried to form an intermediate adhesive layer 12. Further, after applying a dye solution, this coat is dried to form a black heat-melting ink layer 13, thus making a thermotransfer ink sheet 14 available. This sheet is laid over recording paper 15 and a record is transferred on the recording paper 15. An ink sheet 18 having a pale ink layer consisting of only amidelipid is set between a platen 19 and a thermal printing head 20 and solid transfer is carried out. Ink 2 dispersed in some part of a concave area in a fiber cluster is dissolved into a pale ink, spreading from the concave area to the convex area of the fiber cluster. As a result, a transferred image of uniform density 101 is obtained on the surface of recording paper 15 and also such an image is available even in a low density level. |
