<p>PURPOSE:To enhance catalytic capacity and high temp. durability, by containing yttrium and cerium in an inside alumina coat layer and ceriumin in an outside alumina coating layer while supporting platinum as a catalytic component. CONSTITUTION:An alumina coat layer containing cerium and at least one element selected from yttrium, praseodymium, neodium, cobalt, nickel and zirconium is provided on a substrate and an alumina coat layer containing cerium is laminated thereon to mold a catalyst carrier. Subsequently, at least one element selected from platinum, palladium and rhodium is supported by said catalyst carrier as a catalytic metal to mold an exhaust gas purification catalyst for removing and purifying nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon in exhaust gas.</p> |
