PURPOSE:To suppress an arc generated when an electrode is opened, by providing a thyristor switch of an inverse parallel connection for short-circuiting an output, between outputs of an AC power source unit, in a resistance welding device. CONSTITUTION:When output short circuit switches 9, 10 are always turned on, a current loop to 1 4 5 9,10 1 is formed. Therefore, a current i1 cannot flow to a welding transformer 6, and the welding transformer 6 cannot be excited. Accordingly, a current flowing to an electrode becomes zero. In this way, the electrode becomes a non-electric conductive state, and even if the electrode is opened, an electrode 7 and an object to be welded 8 are not damaged. |
