<p>A METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF DIFLUOROMETHOXYAROMATIC COMPOUNDS A method for the preparation of certain difluoromethoxyaromatic compounds which are useful intermediates for the preparation of pyrethroid pesticides. The method comprises alkylating a ?-substituted phenol with excess chlorodifluoromethane at atmospheric and superatmospheric pressures in the presence of a base, acetone, benzyltriethylammonium chloride, and water.</p> |
