METHOD FOR INSTALLING ELBOWS FOR SEWERS

A novel support for a joint in a concrete sewer conduit, as well as a method for installing a concrete sewer conduit are provided herein. The support includes a flat concrete slab with some reinforcing rods completely embedded within the slab, and some reinforcing rods partially embedded in the slab and partially protruding upwardly from the slab. These partially embedded rods are encased by cast-in-place concrete while the conduit is supported on the concrete slab. This provides a reinforced concrete slab whose cross-section is in cradle form at least partially encasing the concrete conduit at the joint.
