PURPOSE:To obtain a spiral antenna which has a wire band directivity and is light in weight and strong in mechanical strength, by filling up a cavity with a dielectric honey-comb on which a resistive liquid is applied. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 3 is filled up with a honey-comb absorber 5 composed of a dielectric honey-comb to which a resistive liquid is applied and the top and lower section of the absorber 5 are respectively adhered to an antenna base 1 and the cavity 3. Since the resistive liquid is applied to the dielectric honey-comb, the absorber 5 has the same function as a wave absorber has. Moreover, since the absorber 5 fills up the space between the antenna base 1 and cavity 3 and is adhered to both of the, it acts as a supporting body of the base 1 and protects the antenna from strong shocks and vibrations. In addi tion, this honey-comb absorber 5 is lighter in weight than ordinary wave absorbers, because most of the volume of the dielectric honey-comb is vacant spaces and the dielectric itself has a low specific gravity. |
