PURPOSE:To provide a two-pack type water-based hair dye composed of the first liquid containing a specific oxidizable dye and the second liquid containing hydrogen peroxide, having a pH adjusted to a level within a specific range, and suitable for the accumulative hair dye effective to make the gray hair gradually imperceptible without damaging the hair. CONSTITUTION:The objective two-pack type water-based hair dye is composed of (A) the first liquid containing an oxidizable dye selected from p- phenylenediamine, N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine or toluene-2,5-diamine sulfate, or their combination with m-phenylene-diamine, p-amino-o-cresol, resorcinol, etc., free from alkaline agent other than the above dye, and having 6-9pH and (B) the second liquid containing hydrogen peroxide as essential component and having 1-7pH. The pH of the above components are selected to give 6-8.5pH, preferably 7-8pH when mixed with each other. The content of the oxidizable dye in the component A is 0.5-5.0(wt)%, especially 1.5-2.5%, and that of the hydrogen peroxide in the component B is 1-10%, especially 5-6%. |
