In the distillation plant the crude water esp. sea water) is circulated from a cold to a hot area and is partially heated. The water is also heated by means of condensation from humid air circulating in a path separated from the crude water by a wall. The air first absorbs water by being blown across the crude water. The air then passes to a cooling chamber where the remaining water condenses from it. This heat of condensation is also used to heat the crude water.
|
