PURPOSE:To prevent nonuniform printing from occurring, by a construction wherein a sag of paper is constantly maintained during recording on a rolled form recording paper. CONSTITUTION:During recording, a recording motor 5 rotates a platen roller 6 opposed to a recording head 7, whereby scanning recording is performed by the head 7 while feeding the paper 4. A paper sag detector 1 detects the tensioned state of the paper 4, and generates a tensioned state signal (a), upon which a controlling circuit 3 outputs a driving signal (b) to rotate a motor 2 for the paper 4 by a predetermined amount at a paper-feeding speed higher than that of the recording motor 5, thereby causing the paper 4 to sag. Accordingly, the load of the paper 4 itself is not burdened on the motor 5 during recording, a fixed light load is constantly maintained. |
