APPARATUS FOR PAINTING INNER SURFACE OF SMALL CALIBER PIPE

PURPOSE:To efficiently paint the inner surface of a pipe having an elbow, by connecting a polishing machine feed truck and a powder applicator feed truck to a link mechanism type in-pipe self-propelling truck in a freely detachable manner through a flexible air hose to allow all of them to run through a small caliber pipe. CONSTITUTION:Polishing and painting works are respectively performed by a combination of an in-pipe self-propelling truck 1 and a polishing machine feed truck and that of the in-pipe self-propelling truck 1, a powder applicator feed truck 4 and a pipe local heating apparatus. The self-propelling truck 1 and each feed truck are connected by a flexible air hose 3 through a connector 31 so as to be easily passed through an elbow part. Because the self-propelling truck 1 has such a chassis structure that drive wheels 13 are attached to a link mechanism 12 freely expandable and contractible corresponding to the inner diameter of a pipe P, it can freely pass even through an elbow part having small radius of curvature. At the time of painting, the pipe body is partially heated by the electromagnetic induction heating apparatus freely moving on the outer surface of the pipe body to immediately heat and melt a powder paint.
