PURPOSE:To bring two metallic pipe materials to a butt welding with an excellent work efficiency by fitting and connecting a clamp so as to be rotatable to both the pipe materials, when bringing the two metallic pipe materials to a butt welding, and using an intermediate clamp which can be interlocked with a welding torch. CONSTITUTION:When bringing the end parts of a metallic pipe materials 1 and 5 to a butt welding, the first clamp 10 and the second clamp 20 of a cylindrical shape are fitted to the outside of a pipe to be welded. The first track 11, and the second track 21 for guiding a welding torch 2i which rotates and moves the provided on the butt side of the first clamp 10, and the opposite side, respectively. An annular body 31 adjacent to the first track 11 and the second track 21 are connected by plural connecting plates 33, and an intermediate clamp 30 which is crossed and provided on both the clamps 10, 20 and centers both the pipe materials 1, 5 is formed. The annular body 31 is rolled on the first track 11, an annular body 32 provided with wheels 34-35a rolling on the second track 21 is rotated, and the end parts of both the pipe materials 1, 5 are brought to a butt welding automatically by the welding torch 21. |
