PURPOSE:To provide a silencer material with excellent silencing property by attaching a viscous elastic body made of synthetic resin to the back of a plate- like non-woven cloth formed of synthetic resin fibers. CONSTITUTION:To the back of a plate-like non-woven cloth 1 made of synthetic resin and formed with a curved surface is applied a viscous elastic body layer 2 made of synthetic resin to constitute a silencer material. Said non-woven cloth 1 consists of short fibers of polyester, nylon, rayon, vinylon, acetate, etc. Also, the viscous elastic body layer 2 consists of an asphalt foamed body, asphalt pregnated urethane foam or rubber system elastic body. This silencer material can be applied to an engine room insulator. |
