PURPOSE:To permit the replenishment of a toner from an optional position by providing a partition wall having a spacing from a casing behind a developing roll and providing an upper auger and lower auger above and below the partition wall. CONSTITUTION:The developing roll 2 is provided in the casing 1 in proximity to a photosensitive body 3. The two upper and lower augers 4, 5 are provided behind the roll and rotate in the directions opposite from each other. The upper auger 4 conveys the developer 8 on the partition wall 6 toward the right and the lower auger 5 conveys the developer 8 in the bottom of the casing toward the right and left. There is the spacing 12 at the end of the wall 6 and the developer 8 moving on the wall 6 falls to the bottom of the casing. The developer 8 moving in the bottom of the casing is forced up onto the wall 6 through the spacing 12 at the other end. The developer agitated in the above-mentioned manner moves curvilinearly and therefore the toner is made to distribute uniformly in the developer and the toner replenished from any position is satisfactorily mixed with the developer. |
