PURPOSE:To obtain a sample suitable for a highly accurate assay without causing the oxidation or the like of trace element contained in a metal sample, by vacuum wrapping a container for taking an assay sample by being immersed into a molten metal with a flexible sheet film. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal sampling container 1 made of metal is assembled by adhesion between a bottom 1a and lid 1b through a ceramic material 1c for draining. The bottom 1a has a cylindrical sample reservoir 1d inside and the reservoir 1d is made to communicate with a sample introduction port 1e provided on the lid 1b. The container 1 is vacuum wrapped with a flexible laminate sheet 2 comprising a metal sheet and a synthetic resin sheet, for instance. The wrapped container 1 is fixed in a paper tube 3, the outside of which is coated with a heat resistant material 4. A sample guide hole 3a is drilled at a part corresponding to the sample introduction port 1e of the paper tube 3 and coated with a thin steel plate 5 from outside. The container 1 is immersed into the molten metal and pulled up allowing a proper time thereby enabling the taking of a quality sample suitable for a highly accurate assay. |
