PURPOSE:To charge a large-capacity power source quickly with a simple circuitry, by specifying the area ratio of two groups of solar batteries charged independently to supplement the consumed charge of other power sources with a large- capacity power source. CONSTITUTION:A large-capacity capacitor 3, a small-capacity capacitor 4 and solar cells 1 and 2 as power source are charged independently and the capacitor 4 is used as direct power source of a timepiece driving circuit while the consumed charge of the capacitor 4 is supplemented with the capacitor 3. The areas of the solar cells 1 and 2 are differentiated so that the area ratio shall be such value that approaches 1 significantly with respect to the ratio of the charge accumulated by the charged-capacity rated voltage or full charge of the capacitors 3 and 4 as corresponding power source. This area ratio enables a quick charging with respect to a large-capacity power source with a simple construction. |
