PURPOSE:To facilitate inputting of handwritten characters by providing transparent plane matrix panels on the picture plane of a display unit that displays characters, displaying possible characters on the displayed picture corresponding to segments of the panel using the panel. CONSTITUTION:Transparent plane matrix switch panels 15 are arranged on the picture plane of a CRT display unit 14 of an information inputting device close to each other. The panels are constituted of transparent sheets 16, 17 at the inside of which is coated with a transparent conductive body that forms a matrix circuit and an insulating separator 18 interposed between them. The matrix circuit corresponding to pressed segments is closed by contact of the sheets 16, 17. Information of the name of signal corresponding to the closed circuit is inputted, and inputting of handwritten characters is made easy. |
