PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure accurate flow rates from an extremely low flow rate to a high flow rate, by providing a vortex yielding body, whose ratio d/D between the width (d) of the tail part of a second member to the short side D of a first member is 0.45-0.86. CONSTITUTION:The size of a step part between a head part 221 and a tail part 222 of a second member 22 is different in correspondence with the width of the tail part. Karman vortexes 3 are detected at the back surface of the tail part 222 of the second member 22. As a ratio d/D between the short side D of a first member 21 and the width (d) of the tail part 222 becomes small, the detectable lowest flow velocity becomes low at a vortex detecting part 4. When the ratio d/D becomes about 0.5, an approximately convergent state is obtained. The pressure loss at this time becomes low as the ratio d/D approaches 1. When the ratio becomes about 0.86, the approximate converged state is obtained. Therefore by setting the ratio d/D at 0.45-0.86, the flow rates ranging from an extremely low flow rate to a high flow rate can be measured. |
